Re:Where Privacy Policy
Re:Where is designed to help users resume ongoing ChatGPT conversations. Re:Where does not operate a PEBBOP server for collecting or storing users' ChatGPT conversation records.
1. Information Re:Where processes
To provide its core features, Re:Where may process content that is visible on supported ChatGPT pages, including conversation messages and information needed to identify and organize ChatGPT conversations.
Re:Where also creates and stores extension data such as conversation records, checkpoints, continuation links, summary state, settings, and diagnostic state needed for the extension to function.
2. How the information is used
This information is used only to provide Re:Where's user-facing features, including tracking conversation activity, remembering a user-selected checkpoint, showing recent conversations, continuing related work when the user chooses to do so, and creating continuation summaries.
3. Local storage
Re:Where stores its extension records locally in the user's Chrome browser using Chrome extension storage. PEBBOP does not operate a remote database or analytics service that receives these locally stored Re:Where records.
Local extension data may remain in the browser until it is removed through the extension/browser environment or the extension is uninstalled, subject to Chrome's own storage behavior.
4. ChatGPT and summary requests
When the user initiates a Re:Where summarization or continuation workflow, Re:Where may place conversation content and instructions into the user's ChatGPT session so that ChatGPT can generate the requested summary. That content is then processed by ChatGPT/OpenAI as part of the user's ChatGPT interaction and is subject to the applicable OpenAI terms and privacy practices.
Re:Where does not send that content to a separate PEBBOP server for summarization.
5. Data sharing, sale, and advertising
PEBBOP does not sell Re:Where user data. Re:Where does not use conversation content for advertising, behavioral profiling, creditworthiness, or unrelated marketing purposes. Re:Where does not include third-party advertising or analytics code.
6. Permissions
Re:Where requests Chrome permissions and access to supported ChatGPT pages only as needed for its conversation-continuation workflow. These permissions allow the extension to interact with ChatGPT tabs, read content displayed on supported ChatGPT pages, run packaged extension code, and save Re:Where data in Chrome extension storage.
7. Security and data minimization
Re:Where is designed to keep its own conversation records in local browser storage and to avoid operating a separate PEBBOP collection server. Users should remember that content submitted to ChatGPT through Re:Where is processed within their ChatGPT session.
8. Children's privacy
Re:Where is not specifically directed to children, and PEBBOP does not knowingly operate a service that collects children's personal information through a PEBBOP server.
9. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if Re:Where's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy changes.
